[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Looking For Recommendations

Greeting Fellow HAM Operators...
I've been dormant for quite a while (KI4FYJ), worked on finishing an Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees and concurring breast cancer....   Happy to say, mission accomplished on all three....

I am looking to upgrade my Radio Shack 2m radio...yes, I have had it since 2003 before the hurricane came through as I knew the benefits of HAM radio operators during weather emergencies....
SO, that said, I desire some advise or even an opportunity to purchase a respectable used one... 
Desire Dual channel (2 m/70 cm), or even tri-channal as I would like to experience 6mNot concerned with GPS capability,  but if it comes, its OK... 
was home with family earlier this month and chatted with my father/fellow HAM operator in Wisconsin..... we noticed D-Star capability... he suggested I make sure we, here in VA, are using D-Star... 

Currently have a Technical license, but am working towards a General license in the future....
