[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] Repeaters I can hit with the GTX 33-cm band HT

Greetings,

Testing today I was able to "hit" memory 5 the Ashton, MD repeater.  The KE2N
repeater did not respond.  Is it up? The other repeaters in memory are clearly
too far away for the dummy load rubber duck.  Building a 900-MHz (33-cm band)
"cheap" yagi might be a good addition for this
radio.  http://www.fredspinner.com/W0FMS/CheapYagi/vjbcy.html

I built the 1.2-GHz cheap yagi and it works great for both terrestrial and
satellite communications.  I just used a piece of scrap wood, cut, trimmed and
filed the tips smooth welding rod and fit them into drilled holes and held in
with "goop" for the passive elements. I used a length of copper wire from a
piece of Romex house wiring for the active element. The copper is easier to bend
into the desired shape, weld to your coax to, etc.

There are two clear typos in the spreadsheet.  One input frequency is "602" and
really should be "902".  "Ke2N" should be consistent as KE2N!  The "77" I
presume is the tone for KE2N's repeater?

Thanks for doing this Rick.  Perhaps we should attempt a 33-cm simplex net next
week after the regular net for more testing.

73,

N8OQ, Jim
