[Alexandria Radio Club Reflector] NCS and National Night Out

To all:

I just discovered that I am net control tomorrow night. Unfortunately I will
be in Orlando, FL on business and my remote access is down. So net control
is up for grabs. August 7 is National Night Out and Alexandria CERT is
playing an active role. We have been requested to have the ECOMM trailer at
Mt Vernon Elementary School and place as many operators at other locations
throughout the city as possible. So we need volunteers to help man locations
in the city. This is great opportunity for exposure to the community. Also
this will be the second day on the job for the new fire chief. I'm sure he
will be visiting the many locations around town. I will know more details
about this next week. I would appreciate someone making this announcement at
the meeting Friday night.
