Just as a follow-up, the Alexandria Gazette Packet newspaper has a nice
article with Deanna and Don quoted, along with a picture of the
trailer/truck and an article of some length about the club and what it does
on page 48 of the February 23 edition that came out today.

A hearty thank you to all who came out to brave the early morning cold on
Monday to help provide comms support to the parade as well as to smooze the
crowds along the parade route, passing out magnets and brochures.  While the
'float' (our trailer towed by Don's (KI4FON) truck) was well received by
those viewing the parade, however, we lost out on the awards.  It was a
great first effort as well as a lot of fun! 

A few photos have been added to the web page ( www.w4hfh.org ) If you have
photos to share (especially if they include folks that were missed in this
batch) please send them to K7DID at arrl.net and I'll get them posted.
