 Ed,

Last summer I worked your neighbor John KL7HBK down in BO49 from Pedro Dome in BP65. We just aimed for each other, and completed successfully with MSK144, FT8, and CW in short order, so I think you and I should have a good shot at it as well. Sat morning, I should be set up and pointed south on 50.313 by 1030 or 1100 am local. Yes, I'll call on first sequence. There is cell service on Pedro Dome, so I'll plan on posting to the reflector. I'll be at BP64 and BP54 (Murphy Dome) after lunch-I'll post those times as well. I'll have a 5el LFA and either the 150w or 500w amp, depending on whether or not I feel like wrestling a generator in and out of the truck at 0 deg.

Brandon, if your sites have a reasonable view to the north, we might have an FT-8 shot even with a dipole. Depending on where you are on the Hillside, you might be blocked to the north; Point Woronzof might be doable. I'll look for your schedule and plan on calling if we can overlap times.

 Ken,

I would like to try 6m-FT8 with you (on 50.313?).  I assume you would
run first sequence.  Guessing BP54 and BP64 are most likely grids to
work you from BP40 (Western Kenai Peninsula, 12 mi north of Kenai).

I have 80w and two 7-element LFA yagis (17.35 dBi gain in Horz
Pol).  Aiming at Mt. Denali (az=030) is most likely path.  You are
allowed to self-spot in the ARRL VHF Contests so if you have cell or
wifi you could post to this reflector when in each location (and
frequencies in use).

I can leave the K3 on FT8 in monitor all day.  With antennas pointed
north; Wasilla is 040 and East Anchorage 060.

I have a FT-736R for 144 or 432 using a 11-dBi dual-band
vertical.  Placing my TE1410G into service which should deliver
150-160w on 2m;  RFConcepts amp 100w on 432.
Bridgecom BCM-220 (30w) to two 11-element vertical yagis on 223.50FM.
