My mic failed on the FT-736R so QST to SSB using the K3+xvtr:

144.200:
KL7H - S9+15 dB

KL6M - S8

223.50:
KL7H - 3bars
KL7XJ - 3bars
KL6M - 2bars
224.94 rptr - 3bars

Disassembled the mic and spend an hour & half getting it back together.
Test on 146.94 with KL7H indicates audio is present but low; adjusted 
mic gain to max which helps.
I mainly use the FT-837R for FM so will not affect net when using SSB.
FT-736R is an old radio from 1990's, so issues not unexpected.

I hope to start ground work to being getting the 2m eme tower back up 
in a couple weeks; est QRV about June.
