That's a good point actually. Having the true duplex mode would be handy for working satellites. Could also come in handy during contests too - keep an ear on one band while working contacts on another. (I wonder if the audio out can be set to put a different receiver in each ear. Have to check the manual.)

Slight detour: about how much power and antenna would be needed to work moon bounce on 23 cm? Could it be done with a reclaimed satellite dish or long boom yagis? The radio only has 10 W on 23 cm though, so would also need some kind of amplifier.
