Brandon,

Did you note that only the IC9700 has dual-band duplex for working 
satellites?  But $700 is significant.

Guess decision has a lot to do with your intended choices for operating.

BTW I do not know of any multi-mode satellite capable radios that are 
small.  FT-817 doesn't really qualify as a satellite radio wihout 
dual-band duplex mode.
