Hello group,
Tomorrow is the big day. I hope everyone's last minute preparations are
going well. I've been working on my rover's antenna stack and everything
is now ready to go. There are a few photos up on the club Facebook page
(search for "Alaska VHF-Up Group"in Facebook).
The club rover itinerary is at the following link:
https://www.qsl.net/ak-vhf/2020_June_VHF.pdf When I arrive at each
location I'll start out on 146.52 FM, and will then QSY depending on who
calls. I'll always anchor on 2 M FM though, and will make a last call
there before leaving a grid. I'll post emails to the group to let the
club know where I'm at.
Also, don't think that you need to wait for me to make contacts - go on
the air and start calling whether I'm there or not. (If you're listening
then the odds are good others are too.) Remember to HAVE FUN! With all
the ops on the air it's a great time to shat someone up, try different
frequencies and modes, turn the power down and see how QRP you can go,
or get a group of people on the line and switch over to try digital.
It's our day to have fun.
Brandon
