[AK-VHF] NET: 18 July - 144.200 USB

Net will begin at 9:30 am on 144.200 USB,  I will also monitor 223.50 FM.

I may be using my vertical antenna as the yagi array is cranked down 
for maint./upgrades.  I managed to fix preamps and TR switching 
(finding lots of corroded dc wire contacts).  With preamp -107 dBm 
signal shows S9+10 dB (about what I normally see from KL6M or 
KL4E).  Without preamp I get S4-S5 using my signal generator at the 
tower end of the coax.

I might crank up the array before the net and would run my 
K3+transverter+amp instead of the F-736R+amp.  My hearing would 
benefit from using the preamp.

At 10:00 am the CQ VHF Contest begins and I want to run 6m FT8 (that 
requires use of the K3) so would finish the net using the FT-736R OR 
if 6m is open at 10 am I would close the net to work 6m 
stations.  Play that by ear!
