Hello group,

We're getting enough snow today that I'm going to play it safe and hike
Bodenburg Butte instead of Rendezvous Peak. I'll save Rendezvous for
another day. The alert can be found at: https://sotawatch.sota.org.uk/.
Go to the "Alerts" tab and search for "KL7BSC".

I'll check in to the net at 9:30 (144.200, SSB) and be on for a bit.
Bodenburg has a good VHF path to all of the Mat-Su as well as most of
Anchorage. Better stations in the northern peninsula should pick me up
as well, but it will be a bit of a stretch. I have five watts though my
Yaesu 817 and will run a 5/8 wave vertical.

At 10:30 I'll be switching over to HF and attempting to make some
contacts using FT8. Initially I'll start on 40 M, and spend at least
half an hour there. If the bands cooperate we should get some decent
NVIS propagation if any local stations want to work there. After that
I'll switch to 20 M and probably spend another half hour or so to see
how far I can stretch the links.

73,

Brandon
