[AK-VHF] NET & Contest - 9 June - 144.200

The net will begin at 9:30 am on 144.200 USB, followed by the start 
of the ARRL June VHF Contest at 10:00 am.
Contest on 50-MHz and higher bands: CW/SSB/FM/digital modes allowed. See:

Typically June has best chances of DX openings for 6m: 50.125 SSB 
calling frequency.  Point directional antennas SE to work West Coast of US.
2m-SSB (144.200) and FM are allowed.  146.52 is allowed.  If you only 
have FM there is an FM-Only contest category.

I have three 6m antennas: two are fixed SE and a moxon pointed toward 
Anchorage - all Horizontal polarity.
I will operate 144.200 with four ten element yagis + 140w; 146.52 FM 
with vertical + 60w
223.50 FM with two 11-element yagis + 30w
432.200 USB with 18-element yagi + 90w, and 446.00 FM with vertical + 100w
927.50 FM with 33 loop yagi + 50w
1296.100 SSB with 45 loop yagi + 50w
five radios in use; 144-432-1296 shares one radio.

self-spotting is allowable under the rules.

Brandon - KL7BSC will be roving from BP42, BP41, BP51, BP50, BP40 and 
BO39 over two days.
The Alaska VHF-Up Group offers an award for those working five grids 
in any band, and for a Rover that activates five or more grids per band.
