[AK-VHF] June Rover Route

Brandon,

Six meters gets ignored in AK for the most part.  I've found it 
harder to work stations in Anchorage on 6m (probably because most are 
running vertical antennas).  My 6m yagis are all horizontal pol for 
working sporatic-E or Aurora (and ms and eme).  I put up a 6m/10m 
j-pole many years ago but it would barely hear the 6m repeater in 
Anchorage.  Its now disconnected and only serves to support one end 
of my 80/40m inverted-V at 24-feet.

I have no 6m antennas able to be rotated (toward Anchorage) so I may 
try setting up my Moxon in vertical pol on a 14-foot mast for the contest.

I just finished putting connectors (NF and 7/16 DIN) on a 50-foot run 
of new 1/2inch Heliax to replace the run of LMR600 that appears 
lossy.  Hope to redo my cable loom (hangs from 3/8 inch nylon rope 
for top of the 50-foot tower).  So that should restore 
144/432/927.5/1296 to operation.  If winds are low I will raise the 
array to tower top.

Guess I will operate form home for the June contest.
