[AK-VHF] June Contest Announcement

Very cool to see the announcement up on the site. I'm still on target to be
entering the event as a rover this June.
As a reminder, my route will go from Susitna North to Turnagainn Arm on
Saturday. On Sunday I'll be doing a run down the Kenai peninsula to
activate a few more grids. Full itinerary to be published here ahead of the
event. If anyone wants to try roving you can do perfectly well with omni
antennas from Mat-Su down to Anchorage and pick up three grids that way.
I'm expecting Sunday to be a little slower paced, so I'll be running some
digital modes just for fun. Probably some psk31 or RTTY for conversation.
Maybe even a WSJT mode or two. (Anyone up in the Fairbanks area want to see
if we can get 6M WSJT to work?) If you have an HF rig with 6m capability
then you're in the game!
I'm trying to get better at winlink also, so if any of the emcom crowd
wants to do some long distance point-to-point tests I'm game. I would like
to see how far down the peninsula I can be and still get a winlink signal
back to Anchorage and the Mat-Su. (Might get some decent propagation if the
weather over the inlet cooperates.) The event is a good time to test emcom
stations and have fun doing it since there will be plenty of operators on.
