[AK-VHF] June Contest Announcement

Thanks, Paul.

Contest time can creep up on us with busy spring/summer 
activities.  Snow is nearly gone here on the Kenai Peninsula and 
already having a contractor start some yard work preparing for a new 
concrete dog kennel.

May 1-31 nominations open for Board of Directors of the AK VHF-Up 
Group.  Current board is:

Ed Cole - KL7UW
Paul Kiesel - K7CW
Dale Hershberger - KL7XJ

Any member may be nominated.  Current board members are nominated per 
Constitution/By Laws, automatically.  Nominations can be submitted to 
Ed Cole who also serves as President.  Written or e-mail 
accepted.  Voting will begin June1-30 and results posted on the club website:

First action of the Board is appointing officers.

My station is midst of rebuilding and replacing cables which temp 
impacts duties as net control.  Yard work requires removal of cables 
for a few weeks so using a vertical antenna, temporary.  Net meets at 
9:30am every Saturday on 144.200 USB, except the last Saturday of the 
month when 146.52FM is used.
