[AK-VHF] So close, yet so far

Ed,

How much meteor scatter activity is there during the VHF contests? I've 
never tried it out at all before, but if it gives a way to reach out of 
Alaska then it might be something worth looking into. It seems like that 
would be a good way to operate during the night when local activity dies 
down, picking up some more grids along the way.
