Ed, Do you have access to 6 meters? I just received a Command Technologies amp yesterday that I ordered that is capable of a KW. Perhaps by the time the net wraps up I will have it wired in line and ready to start testing.

Subject: [AK-VHF] NET: Sat - Feb. 24 - 146.52 FM
Getting the notice out a little earlier.Net will start at 9am on 146.52 FM simplex (last Saturday of the month). We offer opportunity for FM-only stations to check-in.Welcome Brandon-KL7BSC, Eagle River, as our latest member (#71). He has only mobile radio or 5w FT-817, at present.http://www.qsl.net/ak-vhf/AVGMembership.htmI have my antenna array back at tower top (upper 2m yagis at 58-foot) and can run 100w on FM. I can switch the FT-736R to 9-dB vertical for local stations (Kenai Penin) using 25w. Also will monitor 223.50 FM for alt check-in freq (2x 11-element yagis a 60-foot, 30w or 130w).Last Tuesday, I got to try out new gear on 432.200, 927.50FM, and 1296.100. I worked KL6M on 432.200 SSB using the 11-dB vertical and 100W as new preamp on new yagi appears blown. I now have my DEMI 432-28 transverter configured to transmit SSB with 80w thru the new 18-element yagi (16-dB) at 50-foot and receive using the 11-dB vertical (temp workaround). 446.00 FM can use the 11-dB vertical both ways with 100w.KL4E heard my 1296 signal (20-dB antenna, 50w) in Eagle River on Tuesday. I could not hear his 10w to omni antenna. No luck on 927.50 FM either direction (18-dB and 50w). Using low noise preamps on all bands 6m+ except 223.50. I still only have a 3-element Horz yagi fixed pointed SE on 6m (only KL7XJ can hear me using SSB), but in recent contest I worked Anchorage using JT-65 on 6m with this antenna (Anchorage is 90-degrees off-point to NE).So we can try out some new bands during the net, if desired?73, Ed - KL7UW http://www.kl7uw.comDubus-NA Business mail: dubususa at gmail.com ______________________________________________________________ak-vhf mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/ak-vhfHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:ak-vhf at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
