I just purchased a new (to me) radio from KL6M: Yaesu FT-736R 
all-mode dual-band with satellite mode
Radio output: 25-27w on 2m, and 30w on 70cm
Initially have programmed:

144.390-FM (future APRS)
145.010-FM (future packet)
145.210-FM PL-123 (IRLP-Kenai)

*Note no access to repeater with dual-band ARX-270 vertical antenna

This adds redundancy to my existing station on both bands and gives 
me access to 440-450 FM subband.  I will install the FT-2400 2m-FM 
radio permanently in my truck as the FT-736R replaces it.  Eventually 
I will set up packet and satellite operation.
