Something I would like to see happen is a circumpolar amateur radio
convention.
Currently the US is the chair of the Arctic Coucil which has a Search
and Rescue component (could they add amateur radio?).
I would like to see participation from our fellow circumpolar amateur
operators to discuss common interests such as ARES communications in a
difficult HF environment, covering sparesly populated regions, and
increased marine traffic and areas with no or limited amateur (APRS-HF,
HF, internet connected repeaters, etc.).
It would nice to have that in Alaska or VY1 and make a vacation out of
it too.
Hope this post wasn't too off topic.
