I finished installing my 900 MHz system and tested it., today.

The radio problem was due to "pilot error" plugging the mic connector
in backward. I have 14w into a load and 13w indicated into the
antenna with 2:1 SWR. I measured 5.6w at the tower so guess 5w at
the antenna. Preamp (0.26 dBNF - 22 dB gain) is working and sma
transfer relay is being used to bypass it. The major work was
modifying the DEMI sequencer to control the two relays and preamp so
nothing got hurt. I broke out the mic PTT line to control the
sequencer and then looped out of the TX2 stage to key the radio into
Tx. The radio (GE TMX-915) is located in the shack so lots of loss
getting RF to the eme tower top where the 18.5 dBi 33-element
loop-yagi lives (vertical pol.) at 52-feet.

I am still working on my 2m system and testing so will be another day
until the system is raised on the tower. I should be ready to try
927.5 on the Tuesday Net. Not sure how far 5w will reach (maybe only
KL7XJ 15mi south of me). I have a 150w MOT amplifier with some
burned PS components that eventually will provide lots of power
located at tower top.

My 1296-eme system is QRV on the 16-foot dish with 50w and I will
begin testing on the Moon middle of the week when the Moon is higher.
