Howdy, Everybody!

Well the CQ World Wide VHF Contest is this coming weekend. If we're lucky, that big hole in the solar corona won't be a big hinderance to DX propagation. In any event, I plan to be on for the contest, whether the propagation mode is aurora or sporadic-E. I always look forward to the CQ contest because I like its rules and, like its name implies, its just a VHF (as opposed to also UHF and above) contest. I think it's great to have one contest per year that is set up with rules like that.

The CQ contest is listed on the AVG Contests page. Also listed are the ARRL UHF Contest which comes up next month and the ARRL September VHF Contest which follows.
