ATTENTION

We will be holding a new net tomorrow on the 147.27 Repeater starting
at 9am (SAT Nov. 24).
Please join us on 147.27 (+0.600 Tx with 103.5 Hz tone) which is the
Mt. Susitna Repeater.

This will be the first net held on a repeater to promote VHF+
weak-signal operation.

The net will start with taking check-in's for about ten minutes. The
net will proceed in a roundtable format with periodic breaks to take
more check-in's. Stations will be encouraged to try operation on
simplex or SSB frequencies on bands from 6m thru 1296-MHz during the
net. Any two stations may QSY off net frequency to attempt contact.

KL7UW, Ed, will be net control running 35w to a 9-dB vertical antenna
in Nikiski. Ed will be able to simultaneously monitor other
frequencies on 6m, 2m, 222, 432, and 1296 but will not run a net on
those frequencies. In other words no check-in will be taken on those
other bands.

This may be the only time that this repeater will be used for the new
net as it may be taken off Mt.Susitna very soon. I hope many
stations will join us tomorrow for this novel new type of net.

73, Ed - KL7UW
