Ed,
The KL7AA repeater is, indeed, on Flat Top. (Well, down below the
summit, at about the same height as the parking lot.) If I remember
correctly, I've hit it from our cabin in Trapper Creek before, but
never used it to communicate. I used to do all of my operating from
Flat Top, so we know it's a good location. I'm not at all surprised to
hear that you had difficulty with the 33 repeater. I can't hit it from
my home either. I"m actually hoping the local ham community gravitates
toward the Flat Top repeater when 147.27 goes away. Anyway, just
thought I'd drop you a note on it.
