[AK-VHF] CQ WW VHF Contest This Weekend

Hello Everybody,

This is just a reminder that the CQ WW VHF test is going to happen tomorrow! If you have the time, please try to get on and operate in the contest. This contest has a club competition, so don't forget to list the club name Alaska VHF Up Group in your entry if you are a member. Be sure to send in your log, even if it contains only a few contacts. This demonstrates activity, which is important.

There are some active Alaskan VHFers who are not members of the club. Members need to encourage these folks to join and participate with us. You can check the list of members on the web site to see if someone is a member. I suggest someone get on the weak-signal reflector up there and again invite everyone to become members of AVG. Anyone who becomes a member before the contest starts can have his log entry count towards the club competition. Talk it up with  your ham friends, too.
