VE8PW, 7 July 89, 17 meters, SSB, Zone 2.

I couldn't find a zone 2 card or confirmation in my collection even
though I have a WAZ award Feb. 91, signed by Chod Harris.  I sent all CW
cards but they titled it CW/Phone.  As I recall, and maybe some of our
senior members can verify, CQ, at that time did not issue a CW
certificate for WAZ???

Anyway, I located this Q and it seemed like the guy may have been in
Zone 2 on or around the date of  my QSO.  I emailed him, and yes, he was
at a mining camp.  I was in his log.  He insisted on sending me a card,
he paid for the postage.  Nice fellow.  Always nice to meet a ham like
that.

I'm not sure I was using computer logs at that point in 1989 but I
couldn't find any Zone 2 QSOs in DXBase.  When I went technical, I only
entered one card for each country as suggested by Ted, K8NA, SK.  There
was no way I could do my entire log.  I had just gotten off the straight
key and had my microphone back and guess I was trying out phone.

Its a boring day here.  So I came up with this story if anyone is
interested.

Steve, N4JQQ
