Sounds great!! Will get back to the radio room today and see what I can work. Always going up and down the band mostly on ft8 . I have my SCS modem though that will get fired up for some more digital modes I used to do such as rtty. Just need to find a good program to run with it.

Enjoy those Grandkids my youngest one is nine and I sure miss rocking them. Who knows you might have a young DXer by you.

What programs to the ADXA members use for spotting DX ? I have used pskreporter , seen Dx Summit. Know there have to be better ones.

Enjoyed your writing Randy

Their parents are on an anniversary trip.I have discovered that DX pills and grandkids do not mix since the DX pills wear off during the day and I need to crash when the "engineers" are needing me to play with them.

We made it till about midnight, when the authorities aka (CC their grandmother) showed up at the door and busted us. My plan of keeping them awake with me all night and sleeping during the day was foiled.

I thought I would give it try and see how the band was tonight.

It did not tune good, and worked not much better than a dummy load. A new inverted L cut for 80 meters was installed with a raised feed point that uses the roof of the metal shop building 40x64 feet as the ground field. It is very much better on 80 than the 160 inv L.
