I managed to get rid of the wall wart yesterday evening. So, before that
my RX has been down by about 6 dB at least. Having a quiet place for
antennas is super important for 160 (and 80).
The next task is to take down the spiderbeam antenna and use the left
over 50' Al telescope mast for the new inverted L. Right now the
vertical section of my inv L is way too short. It works somewhat on 80
but not on 160.

ps. If anyone has use for a 5 band HD spiderbeam, let me know. It is 3
el yagi for 20m, 2 el for 17, 3 el for 15, 2 el for 12, and 4 el for 10;
all from one feedline. Fiberglass construction, so it is very light
weight and can be put up on most aluminum telescope masts. Here is the
