I would not depend on Natural Gas there are too many things that can 
kill it.
You will not use it for long periods of time very often and extra cost 
of LP gas is minimal compared to the reliability and extra output.
I have 3 20 gal LP gas tanks one is for the house and 2 are for the 
generator. I can run on any of the 3 for any purpose.
I have been told that I can run 2 weeks on 1 tank at full output if needed.
The longest we have run is about 36 hours in the last several years.
