[ADXA] some history from the ‘60’s

I do not normally jump in on these.... but there were a couple other
teenagers that ran around together.   Jimmy Poole, WA5UMP (WU5X) that
checked into the Teenage Net.   Al Simpson, WA5TJB, was a regular on the
Arkansas Post Office Net, he never did get off 75 M with his Heath HW-12.

Those were the good ole days for sure.

I could tell a lot of stories about K5UR, but one of my favorites was
watching him work DX operating split with his SB-101.  He would hollar,
"Transceive" at the end of his transmission and start spinning the VFO to
get down to their TX Frequency.
