Subject: Re: [ADXA] D4UM - CAPE VERDE
He hasn't uploaded to Club Log since 8/23. On his QRZ page, he says his op position was flooded and he lost a lot of data. He then details what he is trying to do to recover his logs. This was when he was in Corsica. Good luck.

SQ9UM is the operator for this station (hence the “UM” suffix of the Cape Verde call sign.)
I worked this guy when he was in Corsica as TK/SQ9UM a year ago:
[cid:part1.FgIKq5Ha.50nz5GEX at gmail.com]
I requested and paid for confirmation via ClubLog OQRS. I also sent him a card via the
buro (which of course can take a while, if at all). After 6 months I sent him an e-mail in Feb and
again in June asking him when he would be uploading his end of the QSOs to LotW for
confirmation…….no replies and no confirmation. I then sent him an e-mail this past week
(if he even reads his e-mails) and chewed his backside, telling him that it is unacceptable
to take peoples’ money and not confirm. I told him I would never work him again. I also told him
I would pass a warning to my state DX organization, which I am doing now.
Perhaps some of you have had better luck with this individual, but I won’t bother with him
any further. I do need Cape Verde for a few more band points, but I will be patient for someone
else to activate from there and take my chances for confirmations from them.
I’m just advising you of what has occurred with me. Whether you want to chance sending
him funds for a confirmation will be your choice, of course. I, however, am done with him.
