Back in Jan 2012, I ordered a Mosley 11 element beam. They said it would
take 8-10 weeks. It came in 3 weeks later. I picked a nice weekend and
assembled it on some shorty sawhorses on the ground. Ran a coax inside the
house to see what it would hear. SWR looked good and I proceeded to work a
couple ATNO DXCC's using "ground wave", I guess. Put it on a mast and
dropped the mast through my 6' step ladder. Worked a bunch of new
suff with it pointed South. It was a few weeks later before I could get a
boom truck scheduled to get my old stuff down and this new monster up. SWR
didn't change all that much from 0' to 32'. But I did have a rotator now.
