[ADXA] Ice Storm

As I posted on our ARVARF page a couple days ago, I had about 1/2" of ice
on my EFHW's. It appeared that the white (30m) wire had more ice than the
rest of the black insulated wires did. Perhaps heating from this minimal
sun made the difference as the black absorbed better than the white.
Anyway, my "door springs", bungies and pulleys did the trick. All were
sagging, but they stayed up. None of my wires are really pulled tight on
purpose. My Mosley was sagging, but not nearly as much as I've seen it do
in the past. Once again, I just plain lucked out. How many more ice
storms will I survive before I become a casualty like our friend Joel. My
ARRL insurance policy is up for renewal in March. Always to a
reassessment each year and adjust accordingly.
