[ADXA] fun weekend on ten meters

It was nice to have a good opening coincide with the contest. When I saw
the post from Joel saying the band was already open to EU at 8:00 AM local,
I jumped in. That was nice - like 1980 coming back. Well, not quite but
getting there.
Also, in my 55+ years of ham radio before moving up to NWA I never got
around to putting in for a plain WAS, much less 5BWAS. And after moving, I
found that I’d been reset to zero. So that make me want to chase
band-states a bit. I’m looking OK except for 15 and especially 10, which I
rarely get on. So it was nice to get some states. Sometimes the close-in
ones are tough on ten so I was glad to get border states OK, TN and LA.
Yesterday I got my first new entity in ages, on 15 CW: 3D2AG/P. Trying to
figure out how to QSL. I gather he’s using paper logs and wants PayPal.
Doesn’t say how much. I presume I’d PayPal with a message giving my call,
time/date/frequency and mode?
