It all started when our local Rotary club was looking for member programs while Covid was keeping our attendance down. I was sitting with the publisher of the magazine, Christine Walker, and told her I was working on a ham radio PowerPoint presentation which I shared with her; she thought it would make it a great article. I told her she really needed to interview Joel Harrison and it blossomed from there! Turns out they go to church together! She took this cover picture.

A pilot’s license doesn’t require a ham ticket (as stated), but CAP led me in that direction with W1UWS being the Squadron Commander and W1TIM, my neighbor and Elmer, being the Vermont Wing Commander!
