[ADXA] burying feedline

I’ve got a year-long project going on to upgrade my feedlines and grounds. I’m running my HF coax and control cables through a 3 inch sewer pipe. I think I have that under control but I’m having a small issue with my VHF and UHF cables.

The VHF tower needs to have the feedline buried for about 25 feet. I am using Andrew LDF4 1/2 inch hardline. I was planning to just bury it without a pipe. Because the ground is very rocky, and I don’t want to rent a trenching tool for 25 feet, I planned to bury it fairly shallow (6-12 inches). I recently noticed that moles are working in that area, though.

Is there a chance the moles will eat into or damage the hardline? If there is, I’d rather do it right at the first rather than re-do it later. I’ve had my feedlines suspended on a messenger cable running between buildings (ugly and a lightning hazard) or years. The yard is full of gray squirrels and they have ever chewed on anything. I didn’t think about the moles, but they are definitely there. Such is life in the country.

Don’t suggest getting rid of the moles. That battle has been going on for years - I lost.
