 Well it happened again.
Taking a vacation day and worked a few stations in EU and then saw a MO station on.   CQ MO leads to several EU stations calling.  Screenshot below will maybe help lend credibility to the "fish story". :)
BTW...still hadn't been able to get a "MO" station.  :)

I wonder who I might could get to call if I sent CQ AR?  May have to try that and see.

I have debated sharing this but have decided to since I think it may provide a little levity.
This past Monday, I was home taking a vacation day.    Now that I have my tower and beams up, I have noticed that I have a lot of stations calling me when I transmit.  I have to admit it is nice to be the ‘hunted’ versus always being the ‘hunter’.
This past Monday, I had the beam aimed towards Europe and was sending CQ MO on FT8.  I need MO for a new state on 17 and figured 45 degrees wasn’t off by too much to go from W TN to the north.  To my surprise, after one CQ MO, I would be instantly called by multiple countries in EU.  I would answer each one in order and get them in the log.  Some of these countries I actually needed on 17.   Later on, I would call CQ MO and it would happen again.  The only entity that wasn’t answering my call was….well MO.
Later in the afternoon, Steve (N4JQQ) and I were comparing signals between antennas and I told him about what had happened earlier in the day.  I said something like ‘Watch This’ and sent CQ MO and it happened again.
BTW…Still need Missouri on 17.  A lot of EU and SV no longer needed. :).  Maybe next time I’ll aim the beam due north and call CQ EU and see if I get a lot of MO stations.
I thought this was funny.  It may be common for you guys in AR.  Not so much for TN.  EM55 is nowhere near being the ‘P5’ of grid squares.
