I got a nice e-mail from Cliff Sprang from the auction company.  They apologized for the confusion and retracted my bids on the IC-7100 halves that were initially described as complete rigs.  I may still bid on these, but need to refine my strategy on how to bid on two halves that are required to make one complete rig!   Based on their responsiveness, I’m not at all afraid to bid on other items.
