[ADXA] auction - be careful!

I only bid on two items and am running into trouble. I bid on lots 70 and
128. Both were titled "Icom Model IC-7100". I made a maximum bid of $100
on each, thinking I would probably have to raise it later and probably drop
out of one auction or the other.
Lot 70 pictures show a complete radio, body and front panel unit. I didn't
notice until after I bid that lot 128 only pictured the body unit, which
was not reflected in the title.
I sent a message and told them Lot 128 needed to be clarified, that the
title implied a complete radio but only the body was pictured. I did not
receive a reply - but -
Today, I see that Lot 70 is now described as "Icom IC-7100 - Control Head
Only" and Lot 128 is now described as "Icom IC_7100 - Body Only". The
descriptions on both items were definitely changed.
It wouldn't kill me if I ended up with one or the other for $100, but if I
didn't get both, I couldn't use what I got and would have to try to peddle
it on ebay. I sent them a message telling them my complaint and asking to
be allowed to cancel or reduce my bid.
I see several possible outcomes. They might ignore me and let the sale go
through. No one else may bid since the radio is split, and I may get a
bargain. Someone may outbid me on both parts. I may end up with half a
radio. I'll reserve judgment on the auction company until I hear from
them. In the meantime, look at pictures carefully, and be alert for
discrepancies.
Live and learn!
73,
Dennis
