DX Maps shows W1 and a W4 working EU on CW now and DX Summit has W4MW working G land on 50.105 and 50.099.6, so MAYBE later another hop will reach us in mid NA, although a lot weaker due to 4 hops instead of 3. It is not F2 unfortunately. We are in the 7000-8500km distance from western EU whereas the east coast guys are 5300-6600km distances from EU.

As Joel say, go get ‘em if you can hear ‘em. Fingers crossed and will keep monitoring these next two weeks. 6m DXers sure missed the lack of F2 in all of cycle 24 and no hopes for cycle 25, since it is predicted to be shorter and less intense by 10-15 %. Cycle 26 in another 11-12 years is out of the question for most of us real old timers. ☹ Can not work DX from a nursing home bed or a casket under ground.. Uggggh

And as Rick UR said, if we don’t get younger people in our hobby, ham radio in general will markedly change during this cycle during the next 8-10 years and will be nothing like the last 20-60 years. The ARRL is doing all it can and is being very progressive and aggressive in trying to preserve our hobby and keep several areas of interest for all to participate in, including DXing and contesting etc. Time will tell . . . Fortunately a couple of our ADXA members have been instrumental in trying to preserve our great hobby during these changing times. TU to Rick and Joel, and we appreciate your association with the ADXA during these past years!
NOW back to listening on 6m “just in case” …. 😊 Wud be nice to get a DXCC endorsement sticker for my 6m DXCC certificate #1091.
73 to all,
San
