This thread migrating to OZK is timely. This morning I was having a 
discussion about the old OZK Picnic that was held at Burns Park in North 
Little Rock. Who with OZK organized that?? Anyone remember? I sent 
Dennis the email below earlier this morning asking if he recalled and 
since OZK became has become a topic here I thought I would ask. That was 
the first "hamfest" I ever attended in either '72 or '73. Of course, 
back then that was the only "hamfest" close by.

Rick UR - you ask about the ham in Snowball that was NCS on OZK. I have 
forgotten a lot of the calls. Can't remember Bob's call, was it W5MYZ?? 
I remember W5TNT, W5KL and others. My mind is mush these days.

By chance to you remember who organized the OZK picnic? I know, of 
course, it was the old OZK CW Net group but curious if you may recall 
you was the catalyst to organize it. You will remember it was held at 
Burns Park in North Little Rock.
