[ADXA] Ward Silver, N0AX - ADXA Special Guest December 7

The Arkansas DX Association is excited to announce that Ward Silver,
N0AX, will be our special guest December 7, 2019 at our annual meeting
and conference.

Ward is President of The Yasme Foundation (www.yasme.org [1]), a name
founded on DX and DXpeditions that began with Danny Weil, VP2VP. Danny
retired from active DXpeditioning in 1963 and about that time, the
famous husband and wife team, Lloyd Colvin, W6KG (SK), and Iris Colvin,
W6QL (SK), began what they called the "Yasme Round the World
DX-Pedition" under the auspices of the Yasme Foundation. If you have a
long history of DX'ing you definitely have Danny, Lloyd and Iris in your
log!

Ward has been an active amateur since his Novice days began in 1972,
operating from numerous locations around the world as a DX'er and in
contests. His DXCC total is 331 Mixed & CW and he has operated from HC8N
and as a team member of the K7C Kure Island DXpedition.

Ward is the author of numerous publications including ARRL's very
popular "Grounding & Bonding" as well as being the Lead Editor of the
ARRL Handbook and the ARRL Antenna Book.

The ADXA website will be updated tonight to include all of the
conference and hotel registration information.
