Hello Pat..
Boy, glad to see you cut into your sleep to work DX!! Yep I was up at 1AM and took a short “nap” at about 3AM like YOU did!! I can only take so much lack of sleep. Getting up again at 4AM was a chore for sure! GLAD YOU GOT ‘em on 30m. I worked them at about 0652Z but did not hear you calling per se. Guess we are too close prop wise on low bands.

Yes, the heat is HORRIBLE and takes its toll by the 3rd -4th day usually. How they do 4 hour shifts and then do nothing except get hot in your sleeping tent drinking water is something I could not do. It is hard to sleep in the heat, been there, ain’t easy. Maybe 30-40 years ago, yes… I appreciate their efforts and financial involvement.

Hope I can get them on 60m but have big doubts. Maybe RTTY on 40m or 15m wud be nice. Tonight I hope to sleep…. maybe. Quite a few ADXA members are chasing the KH1 and have a LOT of band-modes. Good for the ADXA!
San

San,
I was up.....heard you work them on 30M CW a few minutes before I did.  I was hoping they would be on 40M CW but was only FT8 early in the morning. I crashed about 3:00am.     I'm sure the heat and long hours are taking its toll on the ops.

Well, been up since 1AM and seems like all bands in use are in FT8 mode of some sort, it varies. You might know they are NOT on SSB or CW on 40 or 80m. So, guess back to bed and maybe awaken at 6AM or so. Appears the ops are very hot and tired and most are trying to sleep some even tho just an hour past their sunset. Chasing DX is a challenge. Have Baker Island on all bands from past years but RTTY was an ATNO and now only need 60m QSO. Unfortunately they will only be on a short time tomorrow nite I am told.
Gud luck DXing guys, I am sure nobody in the ADXA is up at this time.. HI
