Subject: Frank Kollatt - W5BPT 

HSVARC Members:
 
FYI:  Frank Kollatt, W5BPT is a long-time Ham and is high on the DXCC Honor Roll.  He and his Wife Madge,  W5EFA, are newer members of our Club, but because of Frank’s health issues, have not been able to attend as they would like to. 
 
Frank’s Heart Surgery near Irving, TX, was a success, earlier this week.  He continues to recover in the Hospital.  The biggest challenge for Frank now, is for his body to dispel the Anesthetic.  That has taken much longer than anticipated.  He is also experiencing water / fluid retention in his legs and feet that they are aggressively treating right now.  He is still very weak and tired. 
 
Frank has a fighting spirit but he also has been through a lot – hopefully this will be the beginning of a more comfortable life for him.  Let’s continue to keep Frank, especially,  but the both of them in our thoughts and Prayers!
 
A possible return home date could be Tuesday or Wednesday of next week (the 17th or 18th)
 
As I receive further updates, I will keep us posted.
