San, K5YY, has provided updates to his DXCC progress. San has added a few
new ones on most of the bands 160 through 10M. San has moved beyond the
2800 level on the Desoto Challenge. Not many folks in that territory. Nice
going San!
I'd like to mention something about the "Member Stats" page. I've been
updating the Stats page for several years now. Folks send me their numbers
in a variety of ways....screen shots of the official DXCC record from LOTW
or a scan of the DXCC summary sheet received after a submission has been
processed, tabular text, etc. As far as I know, there are no Association
"rules" concerning the data that is posted to the Stats page. I believe it
is intended to be a means of sharing our progress with other members....and
to support bragging rights! While Honor Roll and Desoto Challenge numbers
are inherently based on "Current" entities, some folks provide band/mode
info based on "Current" entities while others use "all time" totals that
include deleted entities. I make no attempt to validate anything members
send me....I simply post it. For those seeking "official" numbers I
would suggest using the online DXCC standings available on the ARRL web
site http://www.arrl.org/dxcc-standings. It's interesting to scan those
listings to look for familiar calls....and wonder....how did those folks
get to 390+ Mixed?
I'd like to thank Landon, AF5OD, for pointing out some broken links on the
online resources page. I think I have them working correctly now. Joel
and I have been busy tinkering with the site but haven't had time to browse
it! If you spot a problem or have a suggestion for content please pass
them along.
Make plans to attend the new and improved Arkansas River Valley Amateur
Radio Foundation (ARVARF) Hamfest and ARRL State Convention in Russellville
on Saturday, March 4th. ADXA will be presenting DX Forums at 9:00am and
11:00am followed by a business meeting at 1:00pm. Should be lots of fun.
73,
Pat, W5VY
