[ADXA] Friday's adventure - Feb 19

Today brought me to a new park to visit - Pecos National Historical Park -
about 30 miles east of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Between the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Glorieta Pass in north-central
New Mexico lies the Pecos Valley. For over 10,000 years this landscape has
been the backdrop to a continuously unfolding story of human culture:
Pueblo and Plains Indians, Spanish conquerors and missionaries, Mexican and
Anglo armies, and settlers traveling the Santa Fe Trail.

The park has three areas: The Visitor's Center with the Pueblo and Spanish
Mission Ruins Trail, the Forked Lightning Ranch (former home of
Oscar-winning actress Greer Garson and her husband E.E. Fogelson - only
open for tours), and the 1862 Civil War  Battlefield of Glorieta Pass
(limited access).

I was only able to visit the Pueblo and Spanish Mission Ruins and hope to
visit the other two sites at a later date.

155 Q's made it into the log - NPOTA counters for the Pecos National
Historic Park (HP35) and the Santa Fe Trail (TR11).
