Thanks Gary. Thanks to the DXAC also for working on our behalf as DXers.

Hello Frank and nice to get your letter. I appreciate the feedback.
I have already heard from an number of prominent DX clubs in the division, and frankly, you club's position is consistent with almost everyone in the division. The differences are primarily in the radius of the zone of permissible operation of the remote station. I have previously argued that the zone should be 200 miles and then with further input from division DXers, tightened that radius up to 100 miles as there were strong opinions for a relatively local radius. Of course, that is just my opinion on the Committee and others have argued for no restrictions. I am going to forward your letter directly to all the DXAC members in hoping to elicit more discussion. Several members have argued for no restrictions except within their entity.
Thanks for taking the time to write and your input into both important issues.

> The control point for operating the remote station and antennas must be located in the same entity as the remote station and antennas.
> The control point, remote station and antennas must be within a certain mileage distance of each other. The club suggests something in the order of a 200-250 mile radius.
> The transmit and receive antennas must be in the same entity and within the mileage distance noted in item 2 above.
> The control point, remote station, and antennas must be land based.
> Country (entity) criteria - With regard to the current DXCC country (entity) criteria, we believe the current rules have served exceptionally well, especially in keeping the ARRL and DXCC program out of the political arena with regard to new entity determination. We do not recommend any change.
