The Gatti-Hallicrafters Expedition of 1947-1948, the first Grand HAM
DXpedition ever, found its way to the WWW in June 2003.
Besides the ARRL article (see QST December 1993), you can read the story
Gatti told in International Harvester, and the (short) story of Bob Leo, W6PBV
(now W7LR)
I can tell now that there is a BIG update available. In this update both
hams, Bob Leo W6PBV (now W7LR), and Bill Snyder (W0LHS), tell the story in their
own words. Bob and Bill provided me with a lot of documents and pictures, which
illustrate the many web-pages.
Make sure you read both stories, they are very different. There is even a
Dutch version available.

Enjoy reading.
Thanks to Bob Leo and Bill Snyder for letting me do this job..
