Hi to all

I need some help from you, I have the following equipment conected 24H per
day to listen ACARS:

SONY ICF-SC1 Scanner
RADIO SHACK telescopic antenna
WATSON WRP-125 preamplifier (Airband)
WATSON WAF-125 tuneable receiver filter
AOR ABF125 filter (Airband)

TOSHIBA SATELLITE 4070 CDT notebook
SKYSPY software
AIRNAV Suite 4 software

All cable BNC conections are with RG58U and 3.5mm conections are with
blindage cable

The listening equipment is 4 meters away from PC to avoid interefernces

I live in a high building near Lisbon International Airport (LPPT/LIS), less
than 10 Kms, you can see my logs at
http://www.acarsonline.co.uk/Logs/corres/portugal/lisbon/

However due to building internal rules I can't use an external antenna, so I
listen to ACARS with the best possible internal solution.
I have tried several combinations between equipment but when meteo
conditions aren't good enough for VHF signals I loose a lot of uplink data,
I'm sure that a small detail can make a big difference in good reception,
this is the main reason why I ask your comment in order to help me improve
the ACARS reception.

The equipment sequence I use is the following:

Antena > Preamplier > Filter > tuneable receiver filter > scanner

Questions:

1) Is this the correct sequence to turn the equipment ?

2) I must use just one filter or I can use both ?

Many thanks in advance and best regards.

Carlos
