My name is Reinhart Lemke. I'am living in Germany in the northern part
of Bavaria.
What Linux-distribution are you using? I do have a SuSE-System 8.1 on a
Pentium II 333 MHz. Soundcard is a Creative Soundblaster PCI64.
My receiver is a JRC NRD-525G with RS-232 and VHF/UHF-Converter for
airband 114-174 MHz.
Antennas: ARA 30 from Dressler for HF-reception and a groundplane for
VHF/UHF.
What do you think of a combination of ACARS, HFDL and computer-control
of the receiver for first: automatic time related scheduling of
frequencies and second: an activity-dependent scan of known frequencies?
I'am no programmer, but I'am with Linux since 1994, and could in this
case do a job as tester of your software.
Thank you for your engagement
