Hi Jan,

I have contemplated this and while it is possible to do it is only
'semi' possible because of the length of the messages. If all data was
sent in one message it would be possible to do infact pretty easy,
however there is so much data transmitted as multi part message the
problem becomes very complex.

The problem with translating a message is keeping track of the message
parts, It is more possible with messages with message numbers such as
D01A, D01B, D01C, but if the message number is D234, D235, D236, it
becomes very difficult to track where the message began, and what is
expected next, not too mention that most airlines customise there
message content, so in the case of a A330 flying into Perth we have
Cathay, Thai and Garuda, all using slightly different message formats.
For the 747's QANTAS and British Airways have completely different formats.

This message illustrates the problem
#DFB*TKO3201B 02050207P313P2580028592906139404721712C1722113
C109810985100810068918850447504634P053P0536263103103027037020037061035074
049126082072008P414P410186074907080001100010359359

The TKO message can from a quick look, have two types TKO320 TKO1H1

There are 3200 and 3201 Which can have A to H sub types. From the data I
have been given from all over the workd this changes from airline to
airline on the 737's to to solve a 737 TKO message you may have 100
different types of message format to choose from. In Australia Ansett
and QANTAS had different types of Take off message as well as ENGA, B, C
and D messages.

Yes it is possible, probably not in real time, I might have a go at
something and see how I go. I can decode a lot of the information,
infact that is what the original of Acars Analyser was written to do,
get great slabs of data to work out what it all means. To that extent it
is fantastic, I could probably add a translation layer to the data you
have searched but even then it is very difficult to keep track of the
sequencing and the airline and the sub type........
